Apparat at the Knitting Factory
Geri and I headed down to the Hollywood Knitting Factory to catch Apparat. On the way down we stopped at a small Vietnamese restaurant which turned out to be decent. After dinner it was on to the Knitting Factory, which has become more funky over the years, but its still a good venue.
Nosaj Name was the opening act. A lone laptop and midi controller. Boom chskd boom ckz boom boom, not much there, meh.
Next was Apparat, who has now formed a three piece band consisting of Apparat on guitar, a keyboard player and a drummer. Both Apparat and the keyboardist sang. More shoegaze than we had anticipated, but we had a good time.
Cliksszktd for a few pictures of the show…
